1983, Easter Goose,
Oil on canvas, 51cm*37cm |
|
The background of this picture is formed by a
leaded-glass window of light blue glass, through which the whole
scene could entirely fit into a church - just as the woman, who
holds a bowl in her arms with fodder for the goose,
which is sitting on the edge of the bowl. However, other elements
of this picture belong in completely different
assortments of topics. So, e.g. the small, cunning Aquarian with
its antenna ears and the red-white stockings on its
thin small legs, or the green mermaid, who sits on the ground and
dreamily gazes at the red rose on her lap or, of
course, thelarge spaceship which is just getting set to land on
the channel. - Painting this picture with its pretty
nonsense gave me great joy.
