1999, Kosovo, Oil on canvas, 100cm*80cm

Thes picture was developed during the Kosovo war 1998-1999. It is meant as a cry, an accusation. How can mankind do
this to themselves? The boy, with outstretched arms, looks bewildered into the sky, calling: “Oh God is that our world?!”.
Beside him to the left, is a man as an embodiment of wisdom. Beside him, to the right, one sees a doll as embodiment of
childhood. Directly above him is an incomprehensible face: two eyes and a locked mouth. There is just no answer to this question.
