2010, Cilly Kraus-Kolter, Author of "Schmetterlinge & Bomber", Oil on cardboard, 45cm*60cm

The picture shows Mrs. Cilly Kraus-Kolter in her 94th year, shortly before she passed away. Alert until the end,
she learned to use a laptop at age 82 to write her memoirs. Her book: “Butterflies and Bombers” sold well. She
painted beautiful oil pictures of Refrath and Herne and, in addition, had several hobbies. One of these hobbies
was collecting butterflies. The two butterflies in the picture are a reminder. She was my mother-in-law.
